Sam Bell Knife by Jud Brennan

Here is the finished knife #100 in Judson's lifetime knife making catalog.
Special features include forge welded 1095 steel for the blade, extensive engraving, silver sheath in the Sam Bell tradition with a compartment for the bolster, and a large garnet pinned to the pommel to hide the handle mounting tang screw. Also featured is a beautifully executed Spanish notch.

Anticipation of Things to Come

Several years ago Jud began work on Sam Bell style Bowie Knife. I have been fortunate to be able to follow the progress of this exceptional work of art. It is now nearing completion.

Careful observers will note a substantial hiatus between the 5th and 6th images. This is due to a recent spate of inclement weather including freezing rain followed by periods of 50 below which made travel to Jud's workshop an impossibility.
