Jesse Brennan: This is a common Indian head motif in beaten and weathered copper sheet reclaimed from the roof of a house in Ohio that Jesse repaired. The ear ornament is beaten silver. The frame, also fashioned by Jesse, is made from weathered wood and measures 16X19 inches.

David Brennan: This is a Searles Style Bowie with a hand forged blade of spring steel 7.5" long. The handle is 4.5" long, of ebony with silver hardware. The silver sheath is tightly fitted to the blade.

David Brennan: Making a Bowie Knife
Jud's Sons, Jesse, David and Seth work with him in his shop. Here, with Jud's encouragement and guidance, David Brennan forge hardens a Bowie blade that he has fashioned. The next panel will show the finished knife.
