OLD CROW

THIS KNIFE REPRESENTS A DEPARTURE FROM JUD'S CUSTOMARY GENRE.

Jud designed this beautiful knife as an homage to the legendary American WW2 ace, C.E. "Bud" Anderson, pilot of the P-51 Mustang "Old Crow". The guard and pommel are made of T-6 aircraft aluminum as are the metallic parts of the sheath. The tip of the pommel is hardened steel. The handle is made from an exceptional piece of French Walnut. The engravings on the sheath depict the FG and FS emblems that were painted on these aircraft.

This knife will be carried proudly in one of the surviving P-51's still flying that bears the name "Old Crow".

Getting ready for the CLA show!

Jud is getting ready to travel to Lexington and we have many photographs to share leading up to this event.

Judson Brennan inlets an entry thimble.

In this sequence, Jud begins to inlet an entry thimble into the curly maple stock of a rifle in the early stages of fabrication. Prussian blue is applied to the backside of the thimble and it is carefully pressed against the wood. The high spots disclosed by the marker are then, little by little carefully chiseled away.

Jacob Young inspired pistol

This pistol was exhibited at the CLA show and purchased by a private collector. It has since been returned to Jud to have a custom made lock fitted.
